If thoughts are people…

You will feel suffocated. Imagine as many numbers of people around you as your thoughts. There will be at least 10 of them face to face with you. Some so close to you and some distant, all peeking at you. Day and night. Imagine some of them peeking right at you once you open your eyes in the morning. Can you ignore them? No.

You can direct thoughts one by one. Imagine all thoughts placed in one line (that’s my idea of meditation). You can call each of your thoughts, address them, ask them why and discard them. Call another one. Simple, enough? Sometimes they again tend to appear, repeat the process. It results in no peek-a-boo with people and thoughts.

You cannot ignore people. You need not shoo them away. Face them. Look at them, direct them, and solve them. Do not ignore your thoughts. They will go and sit at a far distance but keep peeking at you. Scary, right?

You can feel the vibe of people so can you do for thoughts. Remove the unnecessary thoughts as soon as you see them. That’s easiest to de-clutter. Keep the good vibe ones around you and direct them. They build your intention.

A lot of thoughts will be infants, who would want to be adults. When do we want to get them off our minds? We don’t want them to become old in our heads and then make them dependent on us, right? Get them off soon.

Start imagining thoughts as people around you and you would want to get rid of them sooner. Thoughts? People? ;)
